McGregor No Longshot To Appear On €1 Coin

Adoration of the UFC and now Irish legend Conor McGregor may reach an all time high as a group of politicians are meeting to discuss potentially putting his face on the Irish €1 coin.

Back in December we tipped McGregor to be immortalise in statue form at 33/1, which punters backed into 20/1 in a matter of hours.

However, it seems the Irish government have gone a step further and are making a bid to get the current Featherweight champion commemorated in monetary form.

At present it doesn’t look like it’s going to happen as the short odds of 1/4 suggest that we won’t be seeing the face of The Notorious on our €1 coins. However, the odds of it happening aren’t out of reach either with 5/2 the price on offer that we will indeed see McGregor’s head appear on the €1 coin.
