Donegal Punter Scoops €5,000 In Lunchtime Loot

A County Donegal native made it a lunchtime to remember on Wednesday when they took a punt on their lucky numbers and walked off with a four-figure sum.

The anonymous punter placed two bets in a County Donegal BoyleSports shop on Wednesday lunchtime and their first wager was a €5 accumulator on numbers 5, 15 and 28 in the afternoon 49s draw at odds of 650/1.

They placed a further €5 treble on the same three numbers coming out with the bonus ball included which saw odds of 350/1.

However the bonus ball wasn’t required, as all three rolled out just 20 minutes after the bet had been placed.

The incredible stroke of good fortune meant the customer walked out of the shop with a total haul of €5,010.
