Louth Punter Collects €12,000 From Brilliant Golf Double

One punter from County Louth was feeling on top of the world when they woke up on Monday morning after pulling off an incredible coup on the weekend’s golf results.

The Louth native picked the winners of both PGA tournaments to collect a whopping sum of cash amounting to €12,000.00 from a stake of €100.

The customer called into their local BoyleSports betting shop and selected Brooks Koepka at 9/1 to win the WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational and Collin Morikawa at 11/1 to win the Barracuda Championship. The punter placed both players into a double that cost €100.

Brooks Koepka overcame an illness and joined leader McIlroy at the top just three holes into Sunday’s final round before taking the outright lead on the fifth hole. There was no stopping him then as he posted a bogey-free 5-under 65 to win by three over Webb Simpson.

Colin Morikawa birdied the final three holes to win the Barracuda Championship by three shots. He finished with 47 points for a three-point victory over Troy Merritt, who had the lead on the back nine until the 22-year-old Morikawa made his final charge.

With both players obliging, the customer was able to exchange their betting slip for a mammoth amount of €12,000.00 from a €100 stake.
