Nick Skelton Backed To Win BBC SPOTY

Following on from his gold medal victory in show jumping at the Olympics in Rio, BoyleSports can report further support for Nick Skelton to win the BBC SPOTY.

The 58 year old is now 16/1 from 25/1 to land the coveted award after a flurry of bets throughout the weekend.

Favourite Andy Murray who bids to win the award for a third time has being eased to 11/10 from 10/11 with Mo Farah his nearest rival in the betting at 9/4. Cyclist Laura Trott is priced at 5/1 with her partner Jason Kenny next in the betting at 9/1.

2014 winner Lewis Hamilton has been eased out to 40/1 from 25/1 alongside footballer Jamie Vardy, swimmer Adam Peaty and boxer Anthony Joshua.

Nick Skelton has been the one that punters want to win the BBC SPOTY over the weekend…

with some shrewd bets coming in for the Olympic gold medallist at 25/1 resulting in his price collapsing into 16/1.

Punters believe that a third award for Andy Murray may well be a tough ask and at present he has seen very little support over the past few weeks resulting in his price been eased whilst punters look for bigger price alternatives to the Scotsman.
