Steve Bruce

Bruce Favourite To Take Over At Aston Villa

Next Aston Villa Manager

Outright Betting

With Aston Villa on the hunt for their fifth manager in the past year after Roberto Di Matteo was given the heave-ho just 124 days on the job, we’ve made former Hull manager Steve Bruce the prime candidate to take over at Villa Park.

Di Matteo was sacked following Villa’s 2-0 defeat to Preston and Bruce has been installed as the 10/11 favourite to take up the position.

Current Brentford manager Dean Smith has also been linked to the job and is 4/1 second favourite in the betting. Next on offer at 7/1 is Huddersfield Town’s David Wagner.

Current caretaker manager Steve Clarke is 10/1 to remain in the role permanently alongside former Magpies manager Steve McClaren.

Former England player and BoyleSports football ambassador Stan Collymore is also in the running for the role at Villa Park, having expressed interested in the manager’s position before, however he is an 80/1 shot.

Elsewhere, Big Sam may not be out of a job for long! After being sacked as England boss last week, he has been installed at 14/1 to take over from Di Matteo.
