Dundalk Eased for League Title After Second Straight Defeat

Despite continued success in the Champions League and securing European football, Dundalk FC’s winning performances haven’t spilled over into the Airtricity League as of late.

The Lilywhites have suffered consecutive defeats after losing 2-1 to Bray Wanderers on Wednesday night and 1-0 to Galway United last Friday.

As a result Stephen Kenny’s men have been eased to 4/9 from 4/11 to retain the league title for a third consecutive year.

Cork City have been cut into 7/4 from 2/1 ahead of their clash with Bohemians as they trail top of the table Dundalk by six points .

The form of Dundalk in the league is not ideal as they prepare for their first leg Champions League playoff clash with Legia Warsaw on Wednesday 17th August.

The Co. Louth side are 14/5 to win the first leg in the Aviva Stadium with Legia Warsaw even money to cause an upset and the draw priced at 23/10.
