The draw for the Euro 2012 play-off matches was done earlier today and saw Ireland drawn against Estonia, which means Trapatonni’s side will play the first leg at away and second leg at home.

The Rep. of Ireland were today drawn to play against Estonia in their Euro 2012 play-off match, which will be seen as many as the perfect draw. Trapattoni’s team were seeded in the draw, although fears that Ireland would be drawn against the stronger nations such as Bosnia or Turkey were soon eased when Estonia were paired with the Green Army.
The Rep. of Ireland are looking to reach their first major tournament since the 2002 World Cup finals in Japan and South Korea, with Trapattoni’s contract believed to be in the balance until qualification is secured.
Elsewhere in the draw, Portugal were drawn against Bosnia and Herzegovina while Croatia will face Turkey and Czech Republic go up against Montenegro.
Euro 2012 co-hosts Ukraine and Poland have already been joined in the finals by Spain, Germany, Italy, France, Russia, Netherlands, Greece, England, Denmark and Sweden.
The first legs of the play-offs will take place on November 11 or 12 with the second legs on November 15.
The draw for the finals will take place in Kiev on December 2 with 16 qualifiers being placed in four pots of four.
