Lilywhites Push On In Title Defence

Airtricity League Premier Division

Outright Betting

Defending champions Dundalk remain favourites at the top of the Airtricity League Premier Division table following their 3-0 win over Galway United in Oriel Park on Monday night.

The Lilywhites have remained unchanged at 7/5 to retain the title for another year.

Shamrock Rovers lie in third place and are on offer at 12/5 to claim their 9th Premier Division title.

Cork City are just two points behind Dundalk and have been backed into 13/5 from 9/4 following their win over Longford Town (400/1). Cork have been heavily backed with punters and are now our biggest loser in the book. They continue to put the pressure on Dundalk and should they see off the title holders on Friday, it would result in a massive shift in the betting.

St Patrick’s Athletic’s draw against Drogheda (1000/1) has resulted in the 2013 title holders being pushed out to 11/2 from 5/1.

Bohemians’ scoreless draw with Sligo Rovers (250/1) has seen Bohs drift right out to 40/1 from 20/1.
