Seeley’s Selections – Greece v Northern Ireland

Greece v Northern Ireland

Outright Betting

GREECE is the word according to Danny Zuko but according to me “dull” is the word for tomorrow’s European Championship qualifier between Greece and Northern Ireland in Athens.

If you are looking to have a bet in this with Boylesports play on pretty much every market which can equate to a boring , low scoring , dull affair. If you’re not betting, my advice……watch Corrie.

Both boast very impressive defensive records of late and I don’t expect there to be a goal in this one.
The game to see less than is three goals is a mortgage job at 8/13; I genuinely thought it would be a 4/11 chance.

Northern Ireland have failed to score in 11 of their last 16 away games and Greece have only managed one goal in their opening two qualifiers.

Under three goals looks a banker and whilst we’re on the subject of goals, you can see where I’m going on the next bet.

For no goalscorer in Athens you’ll get yourself a very tasty 7/1 with Boylesports and with strong defensive and average attacking records I think that’s not a bad shout at all.

Despite an impressive start to their European qualifying campaign Northern Ireland are 6/1 outsiders to get the job done in Greece with Boylesports.

Although they won away in Hungary in the opening game, their away record tells me to stay away from that one.

The draw is where I’d be looking. After their perfect start to the qualifying campaign Northern Ireland would happily take a draw here.

Greece is a tricky place to go and I think O’Neil will set up to take a point. Ranieri will be looking to grab his team’s first win but I think they will find it hard to break down a resolute Northern Ireland. Take the draw available with Boylesports at 11/4.

Seeley’s Selections
Under 2.5 goals @ 8/13
Draw @ 11/4
Under 1.5 goals @ 9/5
