Seeley’s Selections – QPR v Aston Villa

A massive match at the bottom of the Premier League to end another excellent weekend of winning selections for this column when QPR entertain Aston Villa in the Monday Night Football.

Both of these teams arrive in this one in shocking form and a bet on either side should come with a public “wealth” warning.

QPR are the marginal favourites at 13/10 with Boylesports and with four defeats in their last five games you couldn’t get stuck into that with too much confidence, but saying that Aston Villa have lost their last four without scoring a goal, hardly the kind of form if you want to get involved in Boylesports 5/2 available on the visitors.

Villa have only won once in their last 11 visits to Loftus Road which sways me slightly towards the home side and they did put in their best performance of the season so far in the 3-2 defeat to Liverpool las weekend, but one thing I do expect on Monday night is…..GOALS.

No team has conceded more goals in the Premier League than QPR (18) and with only one clean sheet all season I really can see Villa ending their goalscoring drought in this one.

Both teams have scored in six of the last seven matches between these two and at 10/11 with Boylesports it’s the best way to get involved on Monday evening.

Rangers have scored two goals in their last two home matches against Stoke and Liverpool and against a Villa team that have conceded a minimum of two goals in their last four games their is also value in the over 2.5 goals market at 6/5 with Boylesports..

Ignore Villa’s recent goalless streak they have had a tough recent run recently against Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Everton and they will find this QPR defence a much easier proposition than that quartet.

Villa will be hoping that Christian Benteke has brought his goalscoring boots to West London the Belgium international is 11/2 to open the scoring on Monday night with Boylesports.

Benteke hasn’t looked the same player since his return from a lengthy injury lay-off and wouldn’t be my idea of a likely opening goalscorer that would be QPR striker Bobby Zamora at 13/2 with Boylesports.

The former England international was handed the captains armband in the defeat against Liverpool and put in a man of the match performance.

He never got the goal against that his performance deserved in that one and against a leaky Villa I can see him taking full advantage.

REMEMBER if your first goalscorer scores the opening goal inside 20 minutes Boylesports will double the odds on the winning goalscorer.

Zamora can’t last longer than the hour mark so he will be keen to impress early and land the “Double Bubble”.
