Who Will Suarez Bite Next In The World Cup?

He’s done it again! While many would argue that Gorgio Chiellini has always had a chip on his shoulder, it remains incredible that Luis Suarez is now involved in yet another biting incident.

The man who puts the FC into KFC is now facing an international ban of up to 24 matches – or, as England call it, eight World Cups. We look at some other World Cup stars who could be the Uruguayan’s next victims….

1. Nikica Jelly-vic (Croatia)
The Croatian striker’s form has been rather wobbly at this World Cup and he’s no longer flavor of the month with Croat boss Niko Kovac, making only one starting appearance at these finals.

2. Panagiotis “Ice cream” Kone (Greece)
The hot and humid Brazilian climate hasn’t really suited this cool midfielder as he’s been substituted in all of Greece’s opening three games. The popular Kone has hundreds and thousands of followers on Twitter and has made almost 99 appearances for current club Bologna.

3. Gonzala Jara “Honey” (Chile)
This versatile Chilean defender has a propensity to get stuck in and his form at Nottingham Forest last season, saw him win several “Manuka Match” awards. Prior to that he had a loan spell at Brighton & Hove Albion where he was a hive of activity in their Bee Team’s defence.

4. Christian “Spaghetti” Bolanos (Costa Rica)
Many critics suggested the 30-year-old Costa Rican winger was pasta his best but he’s been pivotal in the Central Americans success so far at these finals. Should be wary of Suarez, who’s proven to be a fan of Italian cuisine.

5. Celso Borges “’n’ Chips” (Costa Rica)
Borges is on something of a roll at this tournament, starting in all of the surprise package’s first three fixtures. The midfielder also put in a whopper performance in a pre-tournament friendly with Ireland, equalising with a dill-icious penalty past Irish keeper David Forde.

6. Joel Campbell’s “Soup” (Costa Rica)
Like his culinary namesake, Campbell’s been a popular starter for his side in Group D. The striker has proven to be the consommé, sorry consummate professional, spending a spell in Greece on loan from parent club Arsenal. His stock has certainly risen at these finals.

7. Angel “Delight” di Maria (Argentina)
A smooth and creamy winger, Di Maria does sometimes take five minutes to settle into a game. He hasn’t proven to be much of a treat at this tournament with no goals or assists in Argentina’s opening two matches.

He was among the top assists in both La Liga and the Champions League last season but his goal-making skills have seemed to dessert him in Brazil.
