TJ Reid Fancied For Hurler Of The Year

When you think of Kilkenny hurling legends plenty of top-class names spring to mind like Henry Shefflin, DJ Carey, Eddie Brennan and Tommy Walsh.

TJ Reid is also in the top list of hurlers and he has been backed into 8/11 to land the Hurler of the Year award following his tremendous campaign this year.

Reid was introduced at a massive 16/1 but quickly began to have his price trimmed.

Before the Kilkenny v Limerick All-Ireland semi-final, he was 5/2 for the award but that was slashed into 4/9 following his epic display and skill. Reid has since drifted back to 8/11 with Tipperary’s Seamus Callanan also getting support as the 15/8 second favourite from 3/1 after the Wexford v Tipperary semi-final.

TJ Reid will line out this Sunday at Croke Park against Tipperary in the 2019 All-Ireland SHC final where the Cats are 5/4 with Tipp the 10/11 favourites.

It’s 6/1 for Seamus Callanan to be awarded the RTE Man of the Match after Sunday’s big final with TJ Reid the 11/2 favourite.
