Punters Backing McIlroy Over Woods As They Prepare For Battle In Genesis Open

The Genesis Open Tees off on Thursday in what is the last of the PGA Tour’s events on the West Coast Swing. Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods go head to head again after being grouped together in the first two rounds.

Tiger Woods, who has hosted the tournament with his foundation since 2016, returns to action at the Riviera Country Club to make his 13th appearance.

Woods finished T20 in the Farmers Insurance Open last time out and can be backed at 22/1 to win his first ever Genesis Open.

Despite finishing 20th on both visits to the Riviera Country Club, Rory McIlroy boasts second favouritism at 12/1 alongside Justin Thomas having been supported in from 14/1 on Wednesday.

Dustin Johnson goes into the tournament as the market leader at 8/1. The world number three has an impressive track record at Riviera, having won it in 2017 and finishing as runner-up in 2015 to James Hahn, losing in a playoff, and in 2014 to Bubba Watson, who is 20/1 to defend his title this year.

We are offering a 1/5 the odds on a whopping 7 places on the tournament.
