Tigers Woods New 2019 Masters Favourite

Tiger Woods is the new favourite for next year’s US Masters at Augusta after he secured his first win on the PGA Tour in five years.

Woods sealed his 80th PGA Tour title in the Tour Championship at East Lake with a final round of 71 and was welcomed with joyous scenes on the 18th hole as a par wrapped up a 2-stroke victory from Billy Horschel.

Punters have been quick to react and snapped up the 12/1 available on him winning next year’s Masters forcing us to cut him into 8/1,

…which makes him the favourite ahead of 9/1 Jordan Spieth and 11/1 Rory McIlroy.

Woods is also joint favourite for the US Open alongside Dustin Johnson after he went from 14/1 into 9/1 for the tournament which will be held at Pebble Beach, the scene of his record-breaking 15-stroke annihilation of the field in the US Open in 2000.

A 15th major for the American Ryder Cup star is now just 9/4 to happen in 2019, while he is an 8/1 shot to be the World Number 1 on December 31st 2019. Woods has already climbed back up the rankings to number 13, despite ending last year as the World number 656.
