Part Exchange A Massive Bogey In BoyleSports Coursing Derby

Part Exchange is our biggest BoyleSports Coursing Derby worry in the ante-post market following huge support after his win in Knockgraffon in late November.

Initially installed at 12/1 following his win,

…our traders have been forced to carve up that price in the past month following a steady flow of money and he is now joint 7/1 favourite.

He is trained only 15 minutes from Powerstown Park in New Inn by Owen McKenna.

Outoftheshadow, trained by Kevin Barry, is next up in the market and is also a substantial liability. He put in a bold show in the Corn Na Feile in Abbeyfeale, where he put in some saucy clocks and even though he was beaten in the final, our traders liked what they saw and have put him in at 7/1.

Both Part Exchange and Outoftheshadow are causes for concern ahead of the Derby with some punters sitting on nice bets at 12/1 and 10/1 for either to claim the accolade before they were cut into joint 7/1 favourites.

Heavyweight, Zizu, is the biggest mover in the betting. Initially put in at 33/1 after his win in Fermoy, his price has been halved and is now a 16/1 chance.

The Horse And Jockey Oaks market is fairly lopsided, dominated by one lady, Glin qualifier Silent Wonder. She has been all the rage since the second weekend of the season and is currently a 6/1 chance for glory. We wouldn’t be surprised if she goes to slips one of the shortest priced favourites in years.

Corn Na Feile Oaks winner Graigues Legacy, trained by Gerry Holian, has plenty of followers off the back of her win in Abbeyfeale. She has been nipped into 16/1 in recent weeks. Her Kennel mate Elegant Dame is only a 12/1 shot for Oaks glory.

She went into a lot of shrewd judges’ notebooks after her only appearance this season in Westmeath. She is likely to go off single figures on the opening morning.
