Conti Continues To Head King George Betting

29 runners remain in the King George VI Chase following the latest forfeit stage with last year’s winner, Silviniaco Conti, heading the betting at 3/1.

Irish raider, Champagne Fever, is currently priced at 4/1 to win the race and provide his trainer Willie Mullins with a second race victory having last saddled Florida Pearl to do so in 2001.

Simonsig is currently priced at 5/1 to provide Nicky Henderson with a third race victory whilst last year’s runner-up, Cue Card, is currently 12/1 to go one place better than in 2013 on December 26th.

Noel Meade’s Galway Plate and JNWine.com Champion Chase winner, Road To Riches, is priced at 14/1 to give the county Meath trainer a first success in the race whilst another Gigginstown House Stud owned horse, Don Cossack, is available at 16/1.

From 8am on Thursday 4th December, we will be Non Runner Money Back on the race across all channels. This will be an industry first following on from our ever popular NRMB on the Hennessy last month.

At present, both Champagne Fever and Silviniaco Conti are by far the worst results in the Ante Post book and no doubt we will see further support for both horses on Thursday morning as punters will be securing their money back if either horse misses the race.
