Dialled In Galway Punter Scoops Over €15,500 On Horses

A punter in County Galway is celebrating the perfect January pick-me-up after taking a punt on the horses and walking off with a five-figure sum.

The anonymous customer rang in a €0.50 Lucky 15 and a €3 accumulator with BoyleSports on four horses running at Navan and Ascot on Saturday.

Jockey Davy Russell delivered the goods on the first selection Floueur (12/1) in the 12.45 at Navan, while Magic Of Light made it two from two in the 1.50 at Ascot at 5/2. When 13/2 shot Kilenora followed up quickly at Navan in the 1.55, only one horse stood between the punter and the jackpot.

Focus then fell on 10/1 Thomas Darby who held on to land the 2.25 at Ascot by a length. With all four horses seeing the winners’ enclosure, the lucky customer saw their account boosted by a stunning total of €15,754, all from a total stake of €10.50.
