Enable Injury Woes Sees Cracksman Head King George And Arc Betting

Enable has been eased out to 7/2 from 3/1 to claim back-to-back Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe wins after Teddy Grimthorpe, racing manager to owner Khalid Abdullah, stated that there has been an injury setback in training due to filling in her knee.

The John Gosden-trained filly’s return was heavily anticipated having boasted a 2017 season of six wins from seven starts.

Cracksman has taken over as the 9/4 favourite from 3/1,

…having been cut in from 4/1 following his first European Group 1 win, the Prix Ganay, at the end of April.

2,000 Guineas winner Saxon Warrior has also shortened for the Arc, now 7/1 having been introduced at 10/1 off the back of his win at Newmarket on Saturday.

The injury concerns for Enable means she will miss out on the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes in July, for which she headed the betting at 7/4.

Cracksman once again takes over Enable’s position at the head of the betting after shortening from 5/2 to Even money, whilst Saxon Warrior is next at 7/2, a cut from 5/1.
