Golden Wonder To Clean Up Galway Plate

Galway Plate

30th July, 1.30

The Galway Plate is just less than a week away and we can already report plenty of interest in the race since it was priced up on Monday.

Dessie Hughes’ Golden Wonder was last seen running a gallant race to finish second in the Boylesports Irish Grand National last April at Fairyhouse and we can report that

he is the latest horse attracting support for next week’s Grade A €200,000 Steeplechase at Ballybrit.

Punters have certainly taken a chunk out of the horse ahead of next week’s Galway Plate and he certainly is by far the best backed horse in the race.

With potential runners emerging we are certainly expecting to see a lot of further business and movers throughout the weekend and into early next week.

The eight year old son of Goldmark was initially installed at 12/1 on Monday but in the past two days has attracted continued support and is now the 10/1 joint favourite alongside stable mate Art Of Logistics and the Jonjo O’Neill trained It’s A Gimme.

The Willie Mullins trained Away We Go has been eased out to 12/1 from 10/1 and is now alongside Burn And Turn, Vulcanite and Balnaslow.
