Healy Teams Up With BoyleSports For Obama Charity Bet

Barack Obama’s cousin has placed a rather interesting wager with BoyleSports after bumping into us at the Galway Races.

Henry Healy, who is an eighth cousin of the US President, shot to fame after inviting his estranged cousin to visit his native MoneyGall in 2012.

Henry reckons that we could see a return visit from Barack Obama and has placed a €250 charity bet with BoyleSports at 2/1 that it happens.

The €500 proceeds, should Obama return to see his distant cousins in Ireland, will be donated to Henry’s charity of choice, the Irish Guide Dogs Association.

Healy was enjoying his day at the Galway Races with some BoyleSports staff and customers and has teamed up with ourselves to have a fun wager on whether or not Barack Obama will visit Ireland next year.

It is all for a good cause with the potential €500 winnings all being donated.

Given his connection with the US President we could be setting ourselves up for a loss as we suspect he may already have some inside knowledge on the potential visit, but it is all for charity so we are willing to take the risk.
