Interesting Future Ahead For Unbelievable Altior

First things first, Altior is an unbelievable horse.

It’s very interesting to see that connections are going to step him up in trip next season and a tilt at the King George looks to be on the cards.

He gives all the signs over two miles that he’s crying out for a trip so it will be interesting to see what happens.

People have been talking about how he’s had a tendency to jump to the left but I wouldn’t be too concerned with that. I think that has a lot to do with him being in front and making the running.

He went to his left when I was second to him at Ascot and he did it again at Sandown but it wouldn’t be something I’d be worried about.

Talkischeap
I thought Talkischeap was very good in the bet 356 Gold Cup Handicap Chase on Saturday.

He’s a good novice and had good form behind the likes of Lostintranslation. He was probably well handicapped and was given a patient ride by Wayne Hutchinson.

He could be a horse to look out for next season for races like the big handicap in Newbury in November and could be a Grand National horse down the line.

Richard Johnson
Richard Johnson won his fourth Jockeys title and its very well deserved. He goes up and down the country working at it and at 41 years old he’s still going at it like he’s a 21 year old.

He’s a tough man and was second to AP for so long and it’s great now that he’s getting his rewards and another Jockey title is an unbelievable achievement.

Paul Nichols was resurgent this year and had basically put the Trainer’s championship to bed at Cheltenham which was a good performance. Also, it’s almost been forgotten about but it was an unbelievable achievement from Dan Skelton to train 200 winners in a season.
