Mullins Leads the Charge with BoyleSports Champion Chase Fav Min

We have been sponsoring the Champion Chase at Punchestown since 2010 with over €275,000 in prize money up for grabs.

The famous race that is run over two miles has seen some wonderful winners down through the years with the likes of Moscow Flyer, Master Minded and Sprinter Sacre.

Willie Mullins was grabbing headlines again on Monday as he claimed his first BoyleSports Irish Grand National with Burrows Saint. Ruby Walsh rode the six-year old to victory to land his third win in the race.

The champion trainer leads the market with the first six in the betting for the BoyleSports Champion Chase at Punchestown next week.

On Tuesday, Willie Mullins will headline the feature event with Min who is a 4/5 shot after his Melling Chase win at Aintree a few weeks ago. The Co. Kilkenny trainer also has last year’s winner Un De Sceaux entered to try and make it back to back wins with the 11-year old. The 2017 Ryanair Chase winner is the 9/2 second favourite, cut from 5/1.

Footpad is 6/1 along with Douvan who is 8/1 from 9/1 with the return of the latter a very exciting addition to the race, after finishing second this time last year behind Un De Sceaux.

Great Field who won the 2017 Ryanair Novice Chase in Punchestown has only raced three times since then, falling in his last two starts. We make him a 7/1 chance with Cadmium 10/1, after his impressive Topham Handicap Chase win at Aintree earlier this month, reduced from 12/1.

Apart from Mullins’ top six in the book, Castlegrace Paddy is available at 16/1. The Kerry Group Hilly Way Chase champion is aiming to give his trainer Pat Fahy, his first BoyleSports Champion Chase title.
