Racing Punter Nails Over £26,000 From 5 Winners…By A Whisker

A savvy Horse Racing punter is counting their winnings on Wednesday after scooping a handsome five-figure sum thanks to some incredible picking.

The anonymous customer took to their account on Tuesday to pick out five horses at Taunton and Wetherby, placing a £5 each-way accumulator and a £1 each-way Lucky 31.

Stonemadforspeed (7/1), Orchardstown Cross (6/4f) and Capitaine (3/1f) all delivered at Taunton while 4/1 Movie Legend scored at Wetherby, leaving the punter on the brink of the jackpot with just one selection to run.

It was down to 7/2 favourite Goodnitesweetheart in the 5.20 at Taunton and things looked good as the Harry Fry’s 8-year-old took up the running from 3 fences out.

But there was a nail-biting finish as Lamh Ar Lamh closed the gap and the selection just managed to hold on by a short head.

With three of the five horses winning at greater SPs than when the bet was struck, over £10,000 was added to the payout, taking the total winning to a stunning £26,301.10.
