BoyleSports Irish Grand National

Outright Betting

Kim Muir winner Any Second Now is the early favourite for this year’s BoyleSports Irish Grand National alongside last year’s Aintree Grand National hero Tiger Roll.

BoyleSports revealed the betting for the €500,000 Easter Monday showdown after a total of 110 entries were revealed at Fairyhouse on Tuesday, with The Storyteller a 33/1 shot to win the race for Gordon Elliott having been allocated the top weight of 11-10.

General Principle, who broke Elliott’s duck in the race last year, is 20/1 to retain his crown

But the Meath-based trainer will be up against a strong Willie Mullins team who are charged with delivering a first BoyleSports Irish Grand National for the Closutton handler.

Bobbyjo Chase winner Rathvinden is a 12/1 to break the Mullins hoodoo, the same price as Pairofbrowneyes who landed the spoils in the Leinster National at Naas earlier this month. Second that day Isleofhopendreams was within a head of landing last year’s BoyleSports Irish Grand National and is a 16/1 chance to go one better this time round.
