Sizing John Shortens For Gold Cup

Sizing John landed the Grade One Irish Gold Cup at Leopardstown for Jessica Harrington and Puppy Power and as a result he is now 12/1 from 33/1 for the Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Mega Fortune landed the first of four Grade Ones on the card at Leopardstown and as a result the Gordon Elliott trained son of Soldier Of Fortune is now 7/1 from 16/1 for the Triumph Hurdle.

The second Grade One on the card, the Deloitte Novice Hurdle went to the Willie Mullins trained Bacardys and he is now 10/1 from 12/1 for the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham.

The Noel Meade trained Disko landed the Grade One Flogas Novice Chase and as a result he is now 12/1 from 33/1 for the JLT and 8/1 from 16/1 for the RSA Chase.

Tea For Two landed the Graduation Chase under Lizzie Kelly at Exeter and remains 50/1 for the Timico Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Sizing John strengthened his Cheltenham Gold Cup credentials by landing the Irish Gold Cup and as a result the son of Midnight Legend is now 12/1 for next month’s showpiece.

He was initially cut into 16/1 from 33/1 but punters quickly latched onto the 16/1 seeing the price cut further into 12/1.

Sean Flanagan has struck up a spectacular partnership with trainer Noel Meade since replacing the now retired Paul Carberry as stable jockey and he guided Disko to land the Flogas Novice Chase, resulting in his price beeing cut for both the JLT and RSA at Cheltenham next month.
