Tennis players Johanna Konta and last year’s winner Andy Murray are Joshua’s nearest rivals in the betting at present at 12/1 apiece with sailor Ben Ainslie priced at 14/1.

2014 winner Lewis Hamilton can be backed at 16/1 to win the crown back while middle distance runner, Laura Muir, is also priced at 16/1.

Rory McIlroy is an outsider at 50/1 with fellow golfer Justin Rose also an outsider for the coveted crown at 66/1.
