Mrs Brown Locks Horns With Queen’s Xmas Speech

BoyleSports have launched a host of festive markets to mark the arrival of December and the official opening of the Christmas period.

The hot market as always is who will score the Christmas Number One single. In Ireland the 2015 X Factor winner is tipped to take the top spot in the charts at the odds on price of 4/7 with Justin Bieber next at 7/1 and Adele third in line at 8/1.

In the UK the betting follows a similar pattern with the X Factor winner priced at the larger odds of 11/8 to be the Christmas Number One. Justin Bieber is also second in the running at 6/1, but the Star Wars theme beats Adele to third place in the market at 7/1.

TV Ratings
The Queen’s Speech is expected to clinch the highest Christmas Day ratings in the UK for a second year running at 2/1.

The stiff competition comes from the Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas Special at 5/2, which topped the ratings in 2013.

Call of Duty- Black Ops III is 5/4 to be the Number One Christmas Video Game in the UK with FIFA 16 next in the betting at 2/1 and Star Wars Battlefront making a bid for the title at 3/1.

Books
Nigella Lawson could be in for a sweet treat at Christmas with ‘Simply Nigella’ heading the market for UK’s Number One book at 2/1, alongside Bill Bryson’s travel book ‘The Road to Little Dribbling’. The ever popular Guinness Book of World Records 2016 edition is next at 5/1.
