Washington’s Oscar Odds Slashed After Win

Denzel Washington’s odds to win the Oscar for Best Actor have been slashed after he walked away from the Screen Actors Guild Awards triumphant.

The SAG for Best Actor is Washington’s first at the ceremony and his odds were quickly cut to 5/4 from 4/1 to bag the Best Actor Oscar for his role in Fences as a result of his win.

Casey Affleck continues to head the Best Actor betting at 4/7 for his role in Manchester by the Sea.

Hidden Figures is a remarkable mover in the Oscars Best Picture category, now 12/1 from the outsider price of 100/1, after the drama picked up the SAG for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

La La Land remains the strong 1/6 favourite for Best Picture with Moonlight next in the betting at 13/2.
