Boris Johnson Backed Into Favourite To Be Next PM

Boris Johnson is the name seeing most money to be the next Prime Minister as his odds were cut amidst rumours a leadership battle could be on the horizon for the Conservative Party.

Theresa May has drawn widespread criticism after rebuking MPs in an address to the nation on Wednesday evening, blaming them for the Brexit impasse as she seeks an extension of Article 50 from the European Union.

With speculation mounting that her days in Downing Street could be numbered, the former Foreign Secretary has seen his odds on replacing the PM tumble this week

We’ve cut him into 4/1 favourite from 6/1 to be the next Conservative Party leader

That puts him ahead of previous favourite Michael Gove who has drifted out to 11/2 from 5/1 over the past 24 hours.

That makes Johnson the 9/2 favourite from 13/2 to be the next prime Minister, which according to the latest betting gives an equal chance of being the next keyholder to 10 Downing Street alongside Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn.

Fellow Brexiteer Dominic Rabb has also been the subject of support and is into 7/1 from 9/1 this week to be the next Tory leader.
