Peter Casey’s Odds Slashed in Half To Be Next President

Peter Casey has confirmed that he will remain in the Presidential race despite facing criticism and calls for him to withdraw.

Bizarrely, off the back of the announcement, the businessman took a swipe at President Michael D Higgins’ dogs in a video on Twitter.

Despite all the negative press the Dragon’s Den investor has been receiving, his odds to win the Irish Presidential election continue to shorten.

Casey was backed into 66/1 from 100/1 over the weekend following a slew of bets, some as large as €100. We can reveal we have been forced to slash his odds in half to 33/1 as a result of continued support on Monday.

The recent move on Casey’s odds sees him hot on Liadh Ní Riada’s heels, who has suffered a drift out to 28/1 from 20/1.

In a market without Michael D Higgins, Peter Casey’s odds have once again shortened. His odds were drastically slashed from 100/1 to 14/1 last week, but further support has seen his odds shorten further into 4/1.
