UK Bound Trump Backed To Hit Ireland Next

Irish punters are backing US President Donald Trump to fit a visit to the Emerald Isle into his schedule as he embarks on a four-day working visit to the UK.

Trump is due to land in England on Thursday afternoon where his itinerary includes talks with PM Theresa May and a meeting with the Queen at Windsor Castle.

With protests planned in London to coincide with his visit, Trump could be set to seek a better reaction in Dublin in the near future after we reported bets at 11/10 about him becoming the 8th President to visit Ireland while in office.

Trump’s predecessor in the White House Barack Obama famously said that he was searching for a missing apostrophe in his surname when he drew in huge crowds in Dublin in 2011.

Press reports have also surfaced that Trump is set for a second visit to the UK in 2019, shortly after their scheduled date for leaving the European Union, which would provide him with an opportunity to accept a pending invite from Taoiseach Leo Varadkar.

The Fine Gael leader is said to have floated the idea of a Presidential visit during his St. Patrick’s Day trip to the White House.

Trump was also the subject of a gamble to receive a Nobel Peace Prize recently and closed into 4/7 from 5/1 to bag it during his first term in the White House following his meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un.
