With the shortlist announced for the 2013 BBC Sports Personality of the Year, Andy Murray remains the red hot favourite at 1/25 but Boylesports can report…
…a surge of cash for Tony McCoy to finish second to the Wimbledon champion.
McCoy, who rode his 4000th winner on Mountain Tunes at Towcester earlier this month, is proving popular in the “Betting Without Andy Murray” market and is now available at 4/1 having been 6/1 on Tuesday evening.
The multiple crowned champion jockey is 25/1 to lift the prestigious award for the 2nd time after last landing victory in 2010 whilst Mo Farah is on offer at 16/1.
Liam Glynn, PR Executive at Boylepsorts said “Andy Murray is red hot at 1/25 to land the BBC Sports Personality of the Year but since the nominations were announced on Tuesday evening, we have seen plenty of cash for AP without Murray and we have had to cut it into 9/2 from 6/1.”
He added “No doubt all of the horse racing community and many others will be behind Tony McCoy in his bid to win a 2nd BBC Sports Personality of the Year title and we at Boylesports wish the multiple champion jockey all the best and will be rooting for him on December 15th.”
