Punters Backing Ireland to Win Back To Back Six Nations Grand Slams

The Six Nations gets underway this weekend with France v Wales kicking off the action on Friday evening and Scotland v Italy and Ireland v England throwing in on Saturday.

The big question before the opening round of the tournament is,

will there be a Grand Slam winner again this year?

Ireland are firm 8/11 outright favourites to win back to back Six Nations titles with England 7/2 second favourites and Wales a close third at 9/2.

A Grand Slam for successive years looks unlikely, according to our odds of 4/6 that there will be no winner. However, punters have been keen on the 9/4 from 5/2, about Joe Schmidt’s men to mirror last year’s tournament success and claim the Grand Slam.

The last two Grand Slams were won by Ireland and England, in 2018 and 2016 respectively, and it has most certainly had an influence on punters who have been looking to BoyleSports’ Invent A Bet markets to nab the 8/5 available that either side will go unbeaten this time round.

As Ireland and England prepare for their opening showdown, The Boys in Green are currently red hot at 4/6 to score more tries than England throughout the tournament.
