Andy Murray Backed To Make Winning Doubles Return At Wimbledon

Andy Murray is being backed to mark his Wimbledon return by getting his hands on silverware as he continues his tennis comeback in the doubles event at the All-England club.

The Scot’s career looked doomed in January with a chronic hip injury threatening to bring on early retirement for the two-time Wimbledon champion.

However, his doubles comeback at Queen’s Club ended with him winning the title alongside partner Feliciano López.

Murray is now aiming for more doubles success on his road to recovery alongside Pierre-Hugues Hebert and injury concerns surrounding the Frenchman haven’t stopped punters backing the pair to go all the way to the final.

Hebert was dumped out in the first round of the singles by last year’s finalist Kevin Anderson ,but he is 8/1 from 10/1 with BoyleSports to make amends by winning the doubles alongside Murray ahead of their first match on Wednesday.

Murray’s brother Jamie, a two-time mixed doubles champion at Wimbledon, is 25/1 to add a Men’s doubles title to his CV alongside Liverpudlian partner Neal Skupski.

In a year that nobody has taken control of the BBC Sports Personality of the Year market, Andy Murray is also back in the running at 22/1 from 40/1 following his Queen’s comeback and a Wimbledon victory is likely to see him amongst the favourites for December’s award.
