Cian Healy Backs McGregor To Land Notorious Win

Eleven UFC bouts take place in the MGM Grand, Las Vegas, on Saturday night but the fight that has everyone’s attention is Dustin Poirier v Conor McGregor.

McGregor, from Dublin, shot to fame in the UFC scene last year winning three fights so far and is already in the top ten Featherweight division.

He faces his toughest opponent yet Dustin “The Diamond” Poirier who ranks 6th in the top ten and is 4/11 to continue his domination of the UFC.

Ireland rugby star Cian Healy has such faith in McGregor he has teamed up with Boylesports ahead of the bout and has placed a €100 charity bet on McGregor to win in the first round. All proceeds will be donated to Temple Street Children’s Hospital.

Poirier has been on the scene a lot longer than McGregor and the American is openly aggravated by the hype sounding The Notorious and is 11/5 to knock him down a peg or two.

With tensions running extremely high, the fight is not expected to last the full three rounds at 2/5. KO/TKO is what everyone is hoping for and McGregor is odds on at 4/5 to win yet another bout by KO/TKO. McGregor has won only one of his three fights by Decision and is priced at 7/2 to land the win by Decision over Poirier who is 7/1. Poirier has the upper hand when it comes to a Submission, seeing a price of 6/1 to McGregor’s 12/1 to win by Submission.

The support for McGregor has been incredible since he started to take over the UFC world. It looks like he will continue his ascent to the top of the Featherweight Division in Vegas with punters continuing to back him at 4/11.
