Katie Taylor Shortens Further To Defend World Title

Katie Taylor will defend her undisputed lightweight world title against Liverpool’s Natasha Jonas on Saturday night with the Bray Bomber already backed into red-hot favouritism.

The two former amateurs last squared off in the quarter-finals at London 2012, where Taylor was crowned victorious and is odds-on for another win this weekend.

Since becoming a pro in 2016, the Irish superstar has racked up 17 straight wins and has claimed world titles in two separate weight divisions

and her odds have tumbled into 2/9 from 1/3 to continue her dominance.

Jonas has just one defeat on her 11-fight record and despite that impressive statistic, the Liverpool native is 7/2 ahead of her latest showdown with Taylor.

The Irish athlete is also fancied to win the fight on points with those chances backed into 4/7 from 4/6, while a draw is available at 12/1.

Another popular market with fans of the Wicklow native is to win the fight in Round 7, with those odds cut into 20/1 from 25/1.
