McGregor ‘Ready For War’ With Khabib
Punters have been rushing to snap up the odds-against quotes for Conor McGregor to beat Khabib Nurmagomedov following his predictably brash display at the UFC229 press conference on Thursday.
McGregor told the gathered press in New York that he was ‘ready for war’ and when pressed on what round he envisaged winning in, he said he was prepared for five rounds but believed he would do it ‘inside the first.’
We make McGregor a 9/2 shot to win in the first round with a win on points out at 10/1, but the overall odds on the Notorious Crumlin man winning the fight were trimmed after he received an upsurge in support in the hours after the press conference.
McGregor’s tough talk saw him go 11/8 from 7/5 to emerge the winner, while his Russian opponent is out to 6/10 from 4/7.
