Punters Backing Bellew To Be Knocked Out In The Fifth

Tony Bellew may have been getting physical at Thursday’s press conference but punters are getting behind David Haye to put him on the canvas when they meet in the ring on Saturday.

Bellew is odds-on at 6/10 to be knocked down during the heavyweight rematch with rounds 5 and 6 proving to be the most popular choice with punters for a Haye knockout at 14/1. BoyleSports have vowed to offer top price on all round betting up until the bell sounds at the O2 in London on Saturday night.

A Haye knockout also leads the method of victory market at 8/11 with a points victory out at 5/1, as customers have been rallying behind the fight being decided before it goes the distance. It is now out to 11/5 that the full 12 rounds are required to decide a winner and 3/10 from 2/5 that it doesn’t go the distance.

Bellew’s confident performances in the pre-fight verbal sparring haven’t been enough to sway punters in his favour, as he remains a 2/1 chance to beat Haye for the second time, whereas Haye is odds-on at 4/9 to record the 29th win of his career.

If the press conferences are anything to go by we could be in for a cracker on Saturday but Tony Bellew’s bravado isn’t washing with punters who are piling in on David Haye to get his own back at 4/9.

Our round betting is proving to be popular this time round because we can barely find one customer who expects the fight to go the full 12 rounds. It’ll be a good result for us if they end up slogging it out to go the distance…

but the trends are predicting that Haye will dispense with The Bomber somewhere in the middle rounds.
