BoyleSports Bashed With Mullins’ Cheltenham Meltdown

Punters got off to the perfect start at Prestbury Park on Tuesday as Willie Mullins dominated the opening two races on Day 1.

Douvan (2/1) annihilated his rivals in the Supreme and as a result earned a quote of 6/1 for the 2016 Champion Hurdle with 4/1 on offer for him to win the 2016 Arkle if he goes down the chasing route.

Un De Sceaux jumped foot perfectly to justify his 4/6 price and win the Arkle and as a result is now the 2/1 favourite for the 2016 Queen Mother Champion Chase.

Faugheen then wounded BoyleSports further by giving Willie Mullins a 1-2-3 in the Champion Hurdle and his third winner of the day. Faugheen is now 6/4 to retain his Champion Hurdle crown in 2016.

Punters are certainly on top after day one with Willie Mullins dominating Prestbury Park with four winners but it could have been a lot worse if Annie Power hadn’t tipped over at the last hurdle.

Faugheen was by far the best backed horse of the day having been supported in from 6/4 into odds on but the Cheltenham Festival is a marathon not a sprint and we will enter Day 2 to have another battle with the punters.
