BoyleSports Snap Up Dublin Legend Diarmuid Connolly As New GAA Ambassador

BoyleSports have signed up six-time All-Ireland winner Diarmuid Connolly as their new GAA Ambassador.

The Dublin legend will provide weekly analysis for Ireland’s largest retail bookmaker throughout the next two seasons with video and written content across their social media channels and on the BoyleSports blog.

The St. Vincent’s clubman hung up his boots last year having picked up six All-Ireland winning medals and two All-Stars during his career in Dublin’s forward line.

Signing the deal this week, Connolly said: “I am delighted to be teaming up with BoyleSports, especially with such an exciting campaign ahead as Dublin’s competitors get all the more determined to stop them.

“I know BoyleSports strive to be the best in the industry and I am looking forward to making my own contribution to their growing success.”

BoyleSports’ Head of Communications, Leon Blanche, added: “We are thrilled to have Diarmuid on board and give him a warm welcome as our new GAA ambassador. He is one of the biggest names in the sport and as we have already had a glimpse of his insight and enthusiasm, we know he will bring great synergy with our brand.”

Connolly has already provided his full All-Star line-up, singling Ciarán Kilkenny out for special praise as Player of the Year in waiting.

“I know the influence Ciarán Kilkenny has out on the field but he changed up his game this year and I remember thinking to myself, he’s found a new lease of life here,” he said.

“He was taking on guys and going for the jugular every time. He stepped up when we really needed him in the second half of the final and that performance cemented it for me.”
