BoyleSports Smell-O-Vision

BoyleSports To Launch Smell-O-Vision In Betting Shops

Here at BoyleSports we feel we have the nose for success as we introduce you to our brand new shop odours!

Our new in-shop odours feature is designed to bring punters closer to the action by transmitting smells from live sporting events into betting shops.

BoyleSports Target Irish Grand National For Smell-O-Vision Launch

The revolutionary practice is set to be launched during the BoyleSports Irish Grand National on Easter Monday at Fairyhouse, meaning aromas such as freshly cut turf from the racecourse and champagne from the winners’ enclosure will be stored in tiny gel packets and emitted into shops through four concealed fans in the corners of TV screens.

The move follows extensive research carried out by BoyleSports, which concluded an overwhelming 82% of customers were in favour of the initiative as it would provide a more realistic experience to those unable to attend events in person.

The bookie expects to roll out the technology in future months for other major sporting spectacles, with punters set to savour the scent of strawberry and cream during Wimbledon, with the smell of burning rubber pumped into shops to accompany live Formula One races.

Feel Closer To The Action Than Ever Before

Malty notes of lager are also set to waft through the air during darts tournaments, while talks are under way with an unnamed multinational fast-food chain to facilitate the smell of cheeseburgers and hot dogs during live in-shop coverage of American sports.

Launching the technology, BoyleSports’ newly appointed super-smeller and sensory expert Dr Ivan Oselikeadog said: “We love to sniff out an opportunity and we believe this enhanced betting shop experience for customers has the power to throw our competitors off the scent.”
