Brave Anna Backed For 1000 Guineas After Win

Brave Anna’s odds have been slashed from 20/1 to 14/1 to land the 1000 Guineas next year after a fantastic Cheveley Park Stakes win at Newmarket.

It was a one-two for trainer Aidan O‘Brien with his other charge Roly Poly taking second place ahead of firm favourite Lady Aurelia. Roly Poly’s odds have also shortened for the 1000 Guineas with the daughter of War Front now 14/1 from 16/1.

Hamdan Al Maktoum’s Talaayeb has been introduced at 20/1 for the 1000 Guineas after an impressive ride under jockey Paul Mulrennan saw them land the Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday.

But it’s O’Brien’s pair Brave Anna and Roly Poly who are all the rage following their photo finish at Newmarket and both are now 14/1 shots for the 2017 1000 Guineas…

…after traders cut them in from 20/1 and 16/1 respectively.

Also featured at 14/1 is Spatial with Fair Eva holding favouritism at 12/1.
