Buratino Has Big Chance In Sandy Lane Stakes

Buratino’s participation in the Sandy Lane Stakes hinges on the ground conditions but if he is allowed to line up I think he could get the better of Gifted Master.

Palmer has booked Pat Smullen for Gifted Master and it is good to see Ireland’s champion jockey get the opportunities he deserves on the bigger scale but Gifted Master is encountering a new level here in this Group 2 and it’ll be interesting to see how he takes it.

At 13/8 he looks a bit short compared to Buratino at 9/2 who takes a drop in both class and trip and both are key to him.

Whether or not Buratino will ever be a Group 1 horse remains to be seen but he is definitely a Group 2 performer over six-furlongs if repeating his form from last season and if connections let him take his chance he is the pick at 9/2.
