Champagne To Flow At Punchestown

Ten runners have been declared for the BoyleSports Champion Chase on Tuesday with the notable scratching of Ante Post favourite Vautour.

Stable mate Champagne Fever now heads the betting at 2/1 with BoyleSports Tied Cottage chase winner, Hidden Cyclone, now 3/1 to break his Grade One duck.

It’s 6/1 the Willie Mullins pair of Felix Yonger and Twinlight whilst Mallowney is next in the betting at 7/1. Last year’s winner, Sizing Europe, is on offer at 14/1 to record back-to-back successes whilst Flemenstar is currently 16/1 to get back to winning ways.

Willie Mullins last won the race with Golden Silver in 2010 and he will be hoping that Champagne Fever, Felix Yonger or Twinlight can land the valuable €200K feature.

At present Champagne Fever is by far the best backed horse in the race following the withdrawal of his stable mate Vautour.

He is also proving popular in multiple bets with the short priced Willie Mullins runners throughout the week.
