Manchester City began their European campaign with a comprehensive 4-0 win away at Sevilla last week and have since shortened into 9/4 from 10/3 in the betting to go all the way in the competition for the first time.
Liverpool (8/15) and Chelsea (1/3), meanwhile, are both hot favourites to bounce back from opening defeats on the road with respective home victories this week against Ajax and RB Salzburg.
Liverpool are rated the second most likely of the Premier League contingent to go all the way according to their status as 8/1 fourth favourites, while London duo Tottenham and Chelsea are 14/1 and 25/1 respectively to get their hands on the famous trophy.
BoyleSports have therefore cut an English winner into EVEN money from 6/4 ahead of kick-off in the second group games on Tuesday, with the main danger coming from the Bundesliga quintet of Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, RB Leipzig, Bayer Leverkusen and Eintracht Frankfurt (4/1).
Erling Haaland, meanwhile, is clear in the betting to be top Champions League goalscorer, having been backed into 6/4 from 5/2 following his two goals against Sevilla, while Robert Lewandowski’s hat-trick in Barcelona’s Group C opener against Viktoria Plzen makes him 5/2 second favourite.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said: “Liverpool are being well backed to bounce back this week against Ajax so there is a very strong Premier League presence in the betting with Man City popular outright favourites.
“We’re seeing plenty of confidence that this will be a season for the English sides, so it’s only a short even money shot from 6/4 that one of them go all the way for the third time in five years.”
