Chicago Bears To Win The Match

Let’s make no mistake about it; both of these teams are struggling right now but the Bears have been a lot more impressive in their performances through the first five weeks of the NFL season.

Chicago are 2-3 with only one of their losses coming by more than eight points. While this team isn’t bursting with talent they still manage to do the fundamentals well.

Evidence of this is the Bears rushing offence which ranks top five in the league with an impressive 157.4 yards per game.

The Commanders on the other hand just seem like a total mess right now. Head Coach Ron Rivera is feeling the heat right now after four straight losses and he has only gone and made things worse by placing the blame for the team’s performances on QB Carson Wentz.

The whole thing is a mess and after the head coach admitted that he has no confidence in the QB it is hard not to bet against this team.

Under 38.5 Total Match Points

The Bears and the Commanders are struggling on offence going into this game. Washington in particular have really struggled to put points on the scoreboard as they have averaged only 11.7 points over their last three games.

They also look like they could be without their talented rookie receiver Jahan Dotson for this game who was one of the lone bright spots in their offence. It doesn’t look like the Commanders are going to get out of their offensive slump anytime soon.

The Bears offence has shown more signs of life but they haven’t exactly been lighting up the scoreboard either. Chicago have averaged only 17.2 points per game during the season so far.

The lack of points seems to be down to the combination of a conservative offensive game plan and a lack of talent across the offence.

It is also worth noting that the Bears last ten home games have seen the total points go under seven times.

With two bad offences taking the field on Thursday night it looks like there’s every chance this game goes under the total of 38.5 match points.

Justin Fields Under 150.5 Passing Yards

There has been a lot of talk recently about the lack of passing attempts for Justin Fields in the Bears offence. Fields is averaging just 17.6 passes and 135.8 yards per game which both rank at the very bottom of the league among starting QBs.

The lack of opportunities that the young QB is getting to pass the ball seems to be down to a lack of trust in the quarterback from the Chicago coaching staff.

Bears Head Coach Matt Eberflus has shown a commitment to making the running game the focal point of the offence and this should continue against an average Commanders run defence.

A low amount of passing attempts and an offence that is run-heavy should see Fields go under 150.5 passing yards.

The 11/2 odds on this BetBuilder look like great value for punters. You can also create one of your own, click here.
