Cork Punter Pockets €16,500 From 50 Cent Bet

One Cork punter finished the year off in style when pulling off an incredible coup in Friday night’s EuroMillions draw.

The lucky punter placed a simple 50 cent in one of BoyleSports’ Cork stores on the numbers 12, 14, 16 and 26 to be drawn in the EuroMillons Plus draw.

When all four numbers dropped the bet clicked, beating mammoth odds of 33,000/1. With the stake returned the customer walked away with a cool €16,500.50, eight times the amount paid out for four numbers if they had been wagered in the local newsagents.

The latest winner becomes the second BoyleSports customer in Cork to bag a significant festive payout after another customer won €8,500 from a series of tiny bets just before Christmas.
