40,000/1 Shot Lands After Bonus Ball Sweat

The customer, who wishes to remain anonymous, placed a miniscule 25c bet on the five numbers 4, 6, 8, 19 and 28 on Saturday’s Lotto Plus 1 draw.

The numbers defied odds of 40,000/1 and returned a staggering €10,000.25.

Had they been done with the National Lottery they would have returned €50.

The customer was left sweating as all 6, 8, 19 and 28 were drawn as the main numbers, leaving their bet in the hands of the bonus ball, which completed their lucky streak when the number 4 dropped out.
