Thursday’s sport sees plenty of horse racing from the UK and Ireland, day two of the first Ashes Test and much more.

HORSE RACING:
There are six meeting’s in the UK and Ireland on Thursday –they are:

FOOTBALL:
There are six matches live on TV on Thursday – they are:

CONCACAF Gold Cup 2015 – Costa Rica v Jamaica (1:00am kick-off, live on BT Sport 2)
CONCACAF Gold Cup 2015 – El Salvador v Canada (3:30am kick-off, live on BT Sport 2)
International Club Friendly – Southern Tigers v Borussia Dortmund (2:45pm kick-off, live on BT Sport 1)
UEFA Under-19 Championship – France U-19 v Ukraine U-19 (5:00pm kick-off, live on Eurosport)

ATHLETICS:
The latest Diamond League meeting takes place on Thursday night (live on Eurosport 2 from 7:00pm) at the Stade olympique de la Pontaise in Lausanne. Elsewhere, the European Under-23 Championship takes place in Tallinn, Estonia (live on Eurosport 2 from 2:30pm).

AUSTRALIAN RULES:
There is one match down for decision on Thursday morning (live on BT Sport ESPN from 10:30am) as Port Adelaide take on Collingwood in the AFL (bounce-up 10:50am) from the Adelaide Oval.

BASEBALL:
There are a number of matches in the MLB down for decision from just after midnight (Irish-time) on Thursday morning.

CRICKET:
The second day of the First Ashes Test between England and Australia takes place on Thursday (live on Sky Sports 2 from 10:00am) at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff. Meanwhile, Scotland take on the UAE in their ICC World T20 qualifier (live on Sky Sports 3 from 9:30am) at the Grange in Edinburgh, while Holland and Afghanistan clash at the same venue from 1:45pm (also live on Sky Sports 3). Elsewhere, the Jamaica Tallawahs take on Trinidad and Tobago Red Steel in the Caribbean Premier League T20 from Sabina Park, Kingston (live on BT Sport 1 from 11:45pm).

CYCLING:
The 2015 Tour de France continues on Thursday with stage six taking the riders a 191.5km ride from Abbeville to Le Havre (live on TG4, ITV4 & Eurosport from 1:10pm).

GOLF:
The opening round of the 2015 Scottish Open takes place on Thursday (live on Sky Sports 4 from 10:00am) at Gullane Golf Club in East Lothian where Justin Rose is the defending champion. Elsewhere, day one of the US Women’s Open gets underway at Lancaster Country Club in Pennsylvania (live on Sky Sports 4 from 7:00pm), while the John Deere Classic also takes place in the USA from lunchtime on Thursday.
