Cheltenham Free Bet Offer Announced For Supreme Novices’ Hurdle

The tape is lifted on the 2022 Festival in the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle and Irish punters can now back a horse in the race knowing they will receive their money back as a free bet if their selection doesn’t win.

It may be the first race on the first day, but the Supreme Novices’ Hurdle is really shaping up to be one of the most competitive races of the whole Cheltenham Festival.

The Willie Mullins-trained Sir Gerhard has now taken over at the head of the antepost betting for the Cheltenham opener at 2/1 from 5/2, while Nicky Henderson’s Constitution Hill is now second favourite at 9/4 to land the first race for the home contingent.

The Irish representation could be strengthened further by the Willie Mullins pair Dysart Dynamo (5/2) and Kilcruit (6/1), while Nicky Henderson, who won the race two years ago with current odds-on Champion Chase favourite Shishkin, has his hand bolstered by unbeaten six-year-old Jonbon (4/1).
